Hey. I recently purchased

Q6600
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P
ASUS 1GB Radeon HD 4870
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800
Seagate Barracuda 250GB 3.0Gb/s
HEC MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case with 585W Power Supply

and I'm looking forward to it arriving at my door.

Who thinks the 585W power supply will be sufficient for this rig? Will I need to get a better PSU and if so, what are we looking at?

That PSU should be enough for that build, but won't leave much room for upgrades. Those PSU's that come with cases are usually not the greatest though and tend to be less reliable than others. So if you have extra money a new PSU wouldn't be a bad idea, but you should still be ok without it.

I have a Corsair TX850, I was told by some people here, that I may not even be using much more then 500 watts, so you should be pretty good. I have pretty much the same setup as you will have. Although, as stated above, you won't have much for upgrades, I suggest a corsair 750. Or 850 if you want to future proof your investment.
