What wattage of PSU is need to run a 6800 standerd i have a 300w just now about apear to be have low bench marks scores when running augamarkso i have been told there sitting about at 40,521 wich i have been told is bad

A 300w is a little low as is your benchmark but not by alot. Some tweaking & O/C will do the trick. Make sure you have latest drivers etc.

As for PSU it depends on your budget which to go for.

i can get a hold of a 550 today no bother just wanting to know if that will make a dif wit it

The PSU wont give you better benchmarks, just make the whole system more stable and able to overclock better. (if you buy a good PSU Antec etc)

As gibant said, buy a branded one like antec/tagan/enermax - don't get a no-name 550w one
