Pushing the Athlon 64 Venice 3500+

We all know that a socket 939 athlon 64 3500+ has a stock speed of 2.2Ghz, I was just curious to know how far other owners have pushed their Cpu's. I got mine running smooth at around 2.42Ghz now, the temp is at around 29c Idle and goes up no further passed 45 on load (gaming, use of photoshop and other applications at the same time) now, I know the degree of oc'ing depends on the type of cooling you have, Here is what I use.

This is an extremely powerful high end cooler (not sure of the name) and on top of that I have the big fan in the back. Anyways, back on topic. How far have you pushed your cpu and did you encounter any errors? thanks for the feedback in advance.

I know mines a 3700+ but at stock it too is 2.2GHz.
got it to 2.92GHz lastnight and stable with OCCT at 1.44 volts. RAM got to 230 at 3.0v @1.5-2-2-5
you should be able to get your CPU to 2.6 atleast till you might need to up the vcore a bit.
I had a few problems I ran into. like not being able to boot, just had to reset cmos and it was reset back to normal settings.
mhm, how do i up the voltage when it's time?

there should be a setting in the advanced part of your bios to do so, it should be in the same part as all your frequency settings.... should be called vcore or cpu voltage or something

Thanks, I just pushed it up a bit more from 2.42 to 2.53 without upping the voltage yet, should i keep going? the cpu temp is still around 27c idle and only a bit over 40 load

sorry i just up and left ya... i had to go to bed....

So ya, keep pushing untill it doesnt wanna go any further.... then up the vcore, you usualyy wanna do as much as you can without upping the vcore, because thats what will raise the temps alot... so just keep going, then when you hit a wall, just up the vcore a notch and keep on going....
