I bought 6 sticks. exactly the same kind from newegg.com

anyway

according to the site "Speed DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)"
but I ran "astra32" and got this...

is this normal or they sent me wrong memory?

did you set them correct in your bios ?

did you look at the dimms labels ?

let us know


p.s. ocz gold memory has gotten some real bad reports lately, i had 3 sticks personally, and they wouldnt post above 1100 mhz clocks.

I'm not too sure how to exactly set the memory in bios (I actually have the same board you do, maybe you can give me a hand, this is my 1st build)

The labels match the actual product.

if you have the same board then me, chances are slim to none that it will be stable at 1600 mhz


with that said, check out the link in my signature and go around the club there, most of the bios stuff is described in there, without me having to write a whole wall of text about it now xD

i run my 930 at 4.2Ghz and have 3 of sticks of this stuff and it runs stable all day at 1600 8 8 8 24

be sure to bump the voltage up to 1.66 and set your timings manually
