Hi all! So i'm swallowing my pride and now seeking help... I want to get 3.2GHz (400x8) or 3.4GHz (378x9), but I can't seem to stabilize at 3.2GHz on my new ASUS P5Q deluxe (used to get 3.2GHz @ 1.44v on MSI P45 Plat). Right now here are my settings at 3GHz:

Settings above are 7 hrs prime95 & 20 runs of LinX (64bit) stable... trouble is passing 3GHz.. want to to stabilize setting for 3.2GHz or 3.4GHz.. I've tried upping voltage up to 1.43v but still no go.. tried upping NB & FSB term to 1.38, still no go.. HALP ME
Btw, temps are somewhat ok as long as cpu vcore doesn't go above 1.5v

just use 1.475v for 3.6ghz as i did before i sold my quad.

Up the FSB aswell a little bit.

vcore about 1.4 and term about 1.35 should be plenty for 3.2/3.4ghz m8

i would turn speedstep and virtualisation off too, unless you need them.

turn clock twister and oc charger off too.

try dropping ram to 1:1 to remove it from equation and lessen stress on mch.

Hi just an update... no go on the 1.4v

I had Prime95 run last night on settings below.. I checked back after 2 hours and it was still running with max temps of 63-63-58-56 (tjmax 100), so temps were really ok.. I left it running for the night and went to bed. When I woke up the computer has already restarted and Win7 gave me an error message box saying the computer unexpectedly restarted, which means my OC was unstable
Damn Q6600, real pain in the A$$!

Here are my settings thus far (still unstable)..

up for help :S
I couldn't get mine past 3GHz on my Asus P5k SE/EPU either, it just wouldn't stay stable.

i would be happy with 2 hours and would try it [email protected] but thats me.

have you tried it on blend to see if its ram related not cpu? well mch/nb not "ram" but you know what i mean.

another thought would be to stay @3ghz and sort out your ref voltages so you can set them too as you up the speed.
