q6600 stress test?

iv seen lots of programs and tools out there i can get but what is the best for testing everything, somthin that is easy to use, right now iam useing OCCT v3 is this a good one or should i be useing something else?

OCCT is very nice. I usually use OCCT along with Prime95 to check for stability. OCCT for a 2-3 hours to check the settings - and if everything seems fine then, I let Prime do it's work for 8-12 hours to check the long therm stability.

OCCT's linpack test is probably one of the most strenuous tests your likely to come across(except intel's burn test, which is exactly the same as the linpack).

But sometimes running prime95 on blend will find any faults in your RAM. Running a mix of stress tests is never a bad idea.

thank you i just installed prime95 so i will run some tests soon

blend tests your RAM (alot...) and small FTTs gives maximum heat output, but barely anything compared to OCCT's linpack test
