I was just testing this G0 Q6600 and seeing how far it could go. Do I perhaps have a golden chip? I haven't overclocked it yet, but I would like to put some runs on it at 3.6 or 4.0 to see how much vcore it actually needs to be stable. What does everyone think? This is on air btw.

you probably have a very low VID, though you need to factor in Vdroop... check your VID with core temp... I'm guessing around 1.22V

It definitely looks like a good chip, though you won't know ti'll you overclock

My core temp is misleading me, it's says 1.3000v.

then its very likely true... update your version of core temp to the latest...

if core temp does say 1.3000V, then it 99% likely is 1.3000V, and that you have a large vdroop with your board....

No it means the VID of your chip is 1.3000v, VID is different to vcore.

the golden chips are the L737A's and B's

edit: a friend of mine had a L737B*** and got 4.0ghz on 1.42 vcore...things are sick!

mine will run at 1.108 at 2.4Ghz stable, and its a B3, takes 1.43 for 3.6Ghz

vid is 1.325 on mine

your stock Vcore is 1.3000V... your temps aren't reallly great, and your board has massive vdroop... I suggest you do a pencil mod, and maybe get a better fan for your Q6600, because I doubt you'll get to 3.6Ghz because of those temps

well then your vid is 1.25 vids for the Q6600 dont go below 1.2

Alright, I think it's time to bench this thing and see how it truly competes at 3.6ghz and 4.0ghz. Hopefully air and do the trick, but if not i guess I'll have to wait till winter when the temps here drop...

EDIT* I'll be here tomorrow to post back results. :]

im waitinf for the temps to drop too, then ill post some 4.0Ghz benchies
