Q6600 with intel D975 can not more then 2.9 help~ me to go more~


CPU: Q6600
M.B : intel D975bxb
Chipset : Intel Glenwood DG i975X
Memory : Patriot 6400LL DDR2-800(400MHz 5-5-5-12) x 2
power : 650W
Cpu Fan : ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
GPU: ATI HD 4890
hard drive : SSD/Corsair P128 2.5" 128GB

Most likely you need more voltage. 1.31v is not very high for that chip.

Some 965/975 chipsets just can cope with overclocking Quad. I hade the same problem. Best bet would eb to upgrade to a budget P31/P35 chipset board.

Yeah, you're pushing DDR2-800 RAM to ~ 968. It probably doesn't like that much. Set it to 1:1 and try again.

I think its that ram because i have same pair and could not do then 450Mhz.
