Q6700 Temp

Well hello! =)

I'm new here, and I have recently have gotten into the whole 'overclocking' thing. I have read about what programs to use for monitoring temperatures and such. First off I would like to know why Everest Ultimate reports my CPU's Cores as such: Core #1: 54C Core #2 56C, Core #3 58C and Core #4 as 51C. But also says that my CPU Temp is 25C? If the "CPU Temp" is an average, then something isn't right.

Can anyone help me out with this?

The "cpu temp" is the ambient temperature of the cpu underneath the IHS. The four core temps are the actual temperatures from inside the cores. What are your room temperatures at?

Don't know exactly what you are asking for so i went ahead and took a screenshot of what Everest says my temps are.
