hey guys im at 3.2 stable but freeze at bios screen wenever i try for 3.3 had the vcore at 1.4 and upped the northbridge voltage a couple notchs... Same issue!! Plz help! Pc info in specs
so wen it freezes at that xfx screen before bios u think its an fsb whole? Ya ive had to bios jump a few times.. If i can play crysis fer hours @ 3.2 i shood be able to hit 3.4 correct? Also, shood i loosen timings? Ty u so much!
well work on your cpu first
up the fsb by increments of 5 or 10
run prime95, or i use orthos, whatever you like better, for like twenty minutes.
If its stable for them twenty minutes.
If its not stable up the vcore a notch and try again.
Once you get to a speed you like run orthos or prime for 8 hours to be 100% stable
you mean wht votls to start ocing with.
your vid.
If you dont know what tht is its the volts tht your processors uses to run at stock speeds.
The lower the better because tht gives more room for oc. since you cant go above a certain number of volts.
dont go over 1.3625 volts on your board (intel specs)
you want to keep vcore as low as possible because like i said before more room for better clocks, and it keeps your temps down
wil i need to bring up my fsb voltage? Or northbridge?
ya eventually youll need northbridge
don't raise fsb volts because theyre known to kill 45 nm chips
and its never even given me any stability.
It would help you get stable if you had like a 65 nm chip though.
