Q9550 help

What is the TJ max for a q9550 E0 stepping? Right now in core temp it is set to 100 and my temps are 36C highest of all 4 cores and that does not seem right for a watercooled 45nm cpu. I got lucky and i got a 1.2000 VID but it also drops to 1.1000 in core temp but that is probably from LLC.

Is it 36c load or idle?

Is it OC'd?

its probably a stuck sensor. Mines stuck around the same play. 38 c. Does it fluctuate around 36c? For instance does it go anywhere lower then 36C.

Its okay as long as your load temps report then your good. I hear that the idle temps are a bit off anyway.

That does seam kinda high... My highest is 40c idle with the original heatsink.

Are you sure the Water block is seated properly? Is there thermal paste?
My cooler produces about the same (36C) temps at idle using the overclock in my sys specs. What temps are you getting on full load?
I will do a quick stress test with linx i put a small amount of IC 7 but that still might have been too much. Ill report with load temps.
It's the load temps that are interesting.
That's pretty good for a LinX run, I'd say get to clocking on it and see how it goes

that chart can't be right...

I have a QX6850, and set TJmax in realtemp to 80C, and it tells me my idle temps are around 12C... and then under full load small ffts it says I'm hitting 27C
Well i tried clocking it when i installed it and all hell was breaking loose. Kept getting an error window for my windows 7 gadgets, sometimes the wallpaper would go blank and the borders of windows and my taskbar would be solid instead of transparent. I am waiting on a friend of mine to get home from work so he can help overclock this beast.

Uhh that does not sound right to me lol. 27C is around 70F unless you are using liquid nitrogen or dry ice i think your TJmax is off.

with real temp, and leave my TJ max set at default(100C) I get idle temps of32-34C and full load small fft's I hit 50-52C

This is at 3.4Ghz, and about 1.35 Vcore.

Been playing around trying to see how high of a FSB I could get on my board.
That's nice temps, nothing to worry about.
I hope you're going to post a thread about it when you're overclocking it, those threads are always educational and interesting

yeah your sensor is stuck like I stated earlier. IF they don't go below the 36C mark then they are stuck.

I may add that when I am getting absolutely 0% work load I get around 36C. May I ask does it fluctuate any lower then those temps?
My Q9550 idles at between 39 and 42 c. depending on room temp and under load from Prime95 it will hit 50c. with my 3 Ultra kaze 3000 running on 5 volt using 12 volt
load temps stay down around 45 but that is to loud for gaming.

Check sig. for OC
