Hey guys. I picked up two of the Microcenter 64GB G2 SandForce SSD's. I missed the $79.99 deal, but I just told them I had placed two(2) on 18min pickup on saturday but never made it in. So they gave me the price, and saved $20 each that way.

Anyway. I tried to set them up in Raid 0 on my servers P6N SLI Platinum board with NVRaid 430i. They show up, and I can raid them fine. But you can tell the 430i was not meant to raid SSD's. HD Tune gives me a speed of 130mb/s.

I am trying to figure out the best way to use the drives in Raid 0 at full speed without having to upgrade my board/cpu/ram right now. Any suggestions?

Buy a Raid Controller Card? Thats really the only way if the raid setup on your bios sucks - you shouldn't even be getting that low with a single SSD so there is a. something wrong or b. you need to have the proper drivers installed

That was what I was thinking about, but I was fearful of saturating a cheap card. I am toying with biting the bullet on:

GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD4-B3
Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz
G.SKILL Ripjaws (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333
Price: $480 shipped from newegg

But I was kinda holding out for Ivy Bridge or Bulldozer.

I already have a Perc 6/i but all 8 ports are full with Samsung f4 2TB's. Is there any cheap (under $50) raid card that can handle two 280mb/s in raid 0 without being saturated?
