Hey guys

I'm planning on getting a Q6600 for a new rig in a months time or so. I want to steer away from the Striker I have now to explore new things

I can get the P5N32-E for £90, but I heard it has quad-core problems not being able to get over 3 Ghz? What's your views on this?

I have around £120-150 to spend on a new motherboard supporting a Quad-Core, allowing me to get 3Ghz+ if possible. SLi would be good, but isn't a requirement.

Use www.overclockers.co.uk
Or something like www.scan.co.uk or www.aria.co.uk.

Thanks in advance guys

I had three P5N32-E SLI and none of them last more than 3 months while running @ 3.2~3.4Ghz on a e6600. The problem with this board is insufficient cooling. If I leave my computer on during the day while have my AC off, I usually find my PCI-E freeze when I get back. While my computer room do get hot during the day (85f ~90f), my case cooling is sufficient (one 250mm side fan, two 120mm intake, three 120mm exhaust).

If you don't have to go SLI, then its best to get a P35. My new P5K deluxe can hit 3600Mhz with all voltage on auto, while I can never past 3.4Ghz on both P5N32E and EVGA 680i. As far as of mb temp, my mb tem is now 27c on P5K (36C on P5N32E) when I have my AC on.
