I just want to clarify this before I possibly waste a large chunk of cash.

^ these things require a compression fitting (or any type of barb) and are threaded on the flat opening, right? I've been looking at pictures for the past 30 minutes trying to figure out exactly how people implement them into their loops and its just hard to tell exactly how things are put together (if they have a barb on them or if they're a single unit) I've always just used regular cheapo barbs on my loop and I'm planning on a new rig in a couple months and want to do it real clean and professional looking when I put the WC loop in.

Yes you can use a barb or compressor.

Here is that same fitting, and a 90 degree fitting also, both with compression connectors on them.

yes, the fittings are threaded on one end for barb or compressor. Yes they are pricey
but look so damn nice and easy to use
