Question about drivers

Hey, my drivers for my motherboard are like 2 years out of date, is there any reason I should update them? Same with my Bios

And if I do update them, should I download the drivers from my computer manufactures website? They have like year old drivers there, when the newest drivers at nvidia are September '08.

And also, is there any reason to update my BIOS? I don't really want to attempt it cause it's risky as I could kill my mobo or something (I actually don't even know how to do it, but this is what I've read)

Anyway my mobo is Nforce 590 AMD SLI (I don't know the version... everast won't give it to me)
and BIOS is
Award BIOS TypePhoenix - Award WorkstationBIOS v6.00PG

If you aren't experiencing any problems or compatibility issues with your mobo, don't worry about flashing the bios.

As for the mobo, use the latest Nvidia chipset drivers that support your chipset from the nvidia site. I'm pretty sure the latest ones will support your chipset, but take a look at the compatibility notes listed there just to make sure.

Question about your onboard since it's not specific in your sig: is it realtek onboard sound?
Yeah it's Realtek HD Audio.

I'll take a look at the compatibility information.
