Well I am going to purchase a version of Windows 7 64bit, and I was wondering since my Windows can only use 3.5Gb of RAM out of my 4Gbs of RAM I am upgrading to Windows 7 64bit I know I will be able to use all my RAM but will the 512Mb of ram and having 64bit will it help the performance of my PC?

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66 (Default)
4Gb DDR2 @ 800Mhz (3.5GB Usable)
512Mb ATI HD4850

Windows 32 bit can only uses less than 4gb (including the graphics card memory). that is why you can only use 3.5gb of your normal memory. so you will be able to use all 4gb of system memory + your 512mb of graphics memory with 64bit.

Yes I already knew this, I just want to know if I will have any sort of performance boost?

only if you run programs that need more than 3.5gb.

With 512Mb more useable shure : NO
