Question about Phenom II 940 HS/F

I have one unused, brand new. I sold the system and still have this left. Is it worth trynna sell or should i just stick it on my old brisbane?

You would likely get $5-10 out of it, i would just hang on to it.
I plan on selling mine after my Xigmatek comes tomorrow. I plan $10 to the first taker. It's the best AMD stock fan hands down, but I can't picture myself using it other than being used temporarily, or if I never planned to overclock. It's actually great though for overclocking the PH II 940 to no higher than 3.4GHz. So it might work good on your Brisbane on a minor overclock though. Give it a try.
Didn't even think of that. When I get my aftermarket cooler, I might be able use my stock 940 cooler on an older amd CPU.

Yes you can. Anything with the 754/939/AM2 mounting pattern can use any stock heatsink from either class.

Yea i stuck mine on my wifes dual core damn good cooler for her pc i even tuned it up a little for her
