The steps given by Crucial are as follows

1. Before beginning the firmware download process close all other programs except for your internet browser.
2. Find the boot from CD Firmware Update associated with the part number of your Crucial Solid-State Drive.
3. Click Download and the browser will prompt you to select Open, Save or Cancel. Select Save to download the .zip file
containing the ISO Image to your system.
4. Using CD Burning software of your choice, burn the ISO Image (.iso file) to CD media.

When it says to burn to CD it means the unzipped file right?

Where can I get a free unzip program, that someone trusts.

If you have Windows 7, then all you have to do is double-click the .ISO and everything else will be self-explanatory.

Use winrar.

Unzip the file to get the iso, burn to a cd and your done.

1. Make sure you are in IDE mode in bios.
2. Booth from cd and update.
3. Turn back to ACHI mode.

I'm happy that my Crucial M4 already came with revision 0009, saves me the hassle.
