so im really new to the water cooling section and i wanted to start somewhere small.. i spotting this kit to start me off somewhere. Swiftech H20-120 Compact CPU Liquid Cooling Kit. Just wanted to know if this kit was any good?
Swiftech makes good products. I would recommend out of the two, that you do go for the 220 instead of the 120. The 120 has a single rad, whereas the 220 has a double. I am not sure what your budget is, but ideally you would go for a triple rad.
Look here in this picture. Its the box between the fan on the radiator and the case. It's for installing your rad outside the case, and gives you some space in between your case and your rad. Also, it makes installing a little easier.
I use a broken fan with the fan blades and the support beams removed to moun tmy rad on the back of my case, I would get 90 degree fittings if you do it like this thogh.
It's basically just a plastic box which screws to the case fan holes on the back of the case. Then you mount the radiator on to the box (either directly or with a fan in between). It just lets you "hang your radiator of the back of the case.
