I currently have the old style without the HDMI connection, I was recently given one with an HDMI connection. Are they any better compared to the none HDMI ones?
Also, the manufacturer date on the HDMI 360 is 2007-10-22. Is that still under warranty? because it's DVD drive is dead.
It has HDMI, but I don't know what it follows under that, and it is better then my non HDMI, can I just through the dvd drive from the old one to the HDMI one?
Your warranty is dead and I'm afraid the xbox is too. Believe it or not, you can sell it on ebay and people will actually buy it. I'm not going to say what they use them for, but you can indeed sell it by listing that it doesn't work.
And to answer your new question/post, you can't swap drives and parts. The devices are locked by keys to prevent piracy.

You can do that, but there are keys that need to be flashed for the drives, because not all xboxes have the same drives and keys. (to do this you would need modding EXP. or same drive)
And if you plugged in that other DVD drive and singed into xbox live they would ban you on site.
Witch would take me forever to explain to your VIA this post.
EDIT:Think i got most of that right, haven't messed with a xbox in months.
Well, it's just the DVD drive broke, and it was free. i mean it reads sometimes, others it doesn't. I just want to know if there is any performance / issues fixed on the HDMI one.
