How fast is each of processors running?

How did you get it to that speed?

What does it say in the system tab of control panel?

What motherboard are you using?

What is your temperatures?

If you could answer these questions it would be an immense help to my OCing.

Thank You!!

I want to help you but don't own a 3800+, however I have had experience overclocking one and will tell you the settings used, for more info either reply here again or PM me or pandapimp since it is his computer I'm talking about.... anyways, the highest stable overclock with a DFI LanParty UT SLI-D was ~2.6GHz, we could get there via 260x10 or 325x8 but we chose 260x10 since his RAM was only DDR500 anyways so the 325 would only be beneficial if we could run it in 1:1 with DDR650 RAM
however, he insists on using over the top voltages so all of his volts are maxed out except the vDimm which was 2.8, his CPU was 1.550v+113% VID control which gave us ~1.7vCore which is MUCH more than he needs but whatever, its his system, plus the Big Typhoon keeps temps in check so its no biggie.

His temps are as far as I remember ~30c idle and ~45c full load with the Big Typhoon and 1.7vCore.

And lastly, when you clock a CPU at 2.6GHz or whatever, both cores are running at the same speed since the mobo can only assign the CPU one speed so they both use it, make sense?

Also, be sure to lock your PCI/AGP/PCIe/SATA at their default values and lower your LDT multi to keep it under 1000 at all times (HTTxLDT multi=LDT so for pandapimp's system, he has 260x3=780)

Really?

I did all that:
I had the ram running at 183MHZ so x 2 effective which is under the 400MHZ max for my sticks.
I had my HTT running at 220 x 4 = 880
And I put my multiplier to 10 and the comp won't POST.
Strange huh?
I put the voltage up to 1.375 as well, coz it's not exactly a huge OC, normal setting in BIOS was 1.350.

Also, What monitoring programs did you guys use to check the temperatures? Do you remember?

Edit: I can not find where to lock my (PCIe/PCI/Sata) values in my BIOS. I have run some monitoring programs and the frequencies seem to stay the same @ (2500MHZ/33MHZ/Don't know the sata value respectively) I lowered my CPU multi to 5 and up my FSB right up to 250 to check that the (PCIe/PCI/Sata) values were right.

Wow, that's pretty good.
So you just set the multiplier to 10 and it boots, you are so lucky.

Anyone with an 3800+ and a gigabyte board?

you could try these numbers for 2,300mhz.

256 x 9
HTT x 4
vcore 1.4
Memory divider (memclock speed) 166 (333)
Memory timings default
Memory voltage 2.7

Okay, So I got it to overclock to 2190MHZ and boot into windows and I ran 3DMark05 and I got a lower score than when it was set at 2000MHZ. That is so weird.

Also, I used an infrared point thermometer and the northbridge seems to be running at 66C when idle. Does anyone know if this is dangerous?
