I agree. That is DEFINITELY enough power. That's enough power for a pretty hefty overclock on all those components simultaneously, if you wanted to.

I run a QX9650 (130W processor) and a 980, and I barely pull 350 from the wall when I'm stressing everything.

I already own the Swifts but would have totally done that if I had the knowledge.

Kinda wondering why you are picking the 5930K over the 5820K when you are only running 2 GPU's? There will be no difference in performance. The only reason to get a 5930K is if you plan on running 4 GPU's or 3 GPU's + other things such that run off of PCI-E(sound card, etc), otherwise the 5820K will perform identical because PCI-E 3.0 has plenty of bandwidth even at 8x.

If you push 980's hard with some types of loads and 1.25v, you might want to allocate 450w between them (but at low volts it'd be far less!). 250 for CPU at high overclock is a good idea.

Get a 5820k and plenty of case airflow!

Good advice. I'll change that too.

Okay, I am actually building this for a friend who wants to spend $5k. If you had to put $300-400 more into this rig (assuming I changed to a 5820k and the cheaper PSU), where would you put it?

Doubled up RAM capacity, put money in the bank for when GPU's ~1.4-1.5x faster than 980 hit shelf middle of this year probably

It's kinda odd to have two ROG Swift's but not three, considering you can't really multi-monitor game with 2 monitors (best to use 1 monitor or 3+) and that's a huge price to pay for a secondary monitor

you could also just go all out and get 5960x instead of 5820k, for the two extra cores.
