Hello

What is considered as good very quiet compressor today for SS .
i have a modded vapochill ls with nf 5.5clx which is very noisy seating on my garage for long time . i plan to swap this compressor for something better .
do the NL11F still the best option for noise/performance ratio or there are better newer model .

I just found a deal in local store for a NL11F (used) for few pennies . :)

you'd likely get more useful information on sub-ambient cooling on the HWBOT forum, the vast majority of the sub-ambient crew on OCN is gone.

tagging @mllrkllr88 and @Samsarulz since I know they have experience and maybe they can help but otherwise I'd try here.

I wish I could hep here but I officially know nothing of this stuff. I modded a 10k BTU window AC and turned it into a water chiller...but that's my only experience with compressors.

That's pretty cool in and of itself.

After I wasted a lot of money figuring what liquid to run and how to maximize cooling power it was actually very effective. I could turn on the AC with the water being ambient and come back 30 minutes later to have -35c water. It would hold -30c with basically any and all loads. It was my baby...then I had a real baby last year and had to get rid of it :p I tossed the whole mess in the garbage but I kept good notes so I can rebuild later...
