I have 1 already, and I guess 1180 will cost $1000 in Canada after tax/sh, and the 1180ti will takes months more and be 1200-1300 probably

At 1440p a 280x CF would hold me over if it works ok, I'm pretty much playing pre 2016 games.

What do u think, is it worth the hassle ? I don't really want to side-grade with a single card, but 1 280x is not really enough.

Unless you know specifically that the the games you intend to play have good CFX support, I'd recommend against it.

I'd avoid it personally...

I'm soooooo happy I ditched my 290s, crossfire was just never a great experience for me.

Not enough VRAM to fully utilize the GPUs even assuming perfect scaling.

Having gone from cf 7970 GHz edition cards under (crappy) water, a single RX 570, GTX 1060, or GTX 1070 are all faster options with less headaches.

You mention the 1180 and 1180 TI. What's your budget?

Well really depends on how long I'd save money. I had a 980 Ti, I didn't realize the prices are probably going to be really high again, should never have sold it, but it cost me +1000 new in 2015

If I could get a 2nd 280x for under $150 it won't really feel like a side grade in the same way of going to a rx580 or 1060/70.

Dam those miners, the whole thing doesn't make sense anyways imo, or there's a big scam behind it.
