Seeing as how my temporary Video Card (GF 6200 128mb T/C) is annoying the hell out of me, I've been considering very carefully about which video card to get, which'll last me untill the x1900 goes down in price. I'm looking into getting as much power as I can for less than AU$250 (US$186.72). I've been taking a look around and I see that the Radeon x1600XT looks pretty good. I just wan't to know if you think that this would be a wise investment, or if you have any suggestions for something better. Keep in mind that I am on a budget here, I need money for more than just my computer..

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I found this card from an Australian online retailer...what you think?

If you live in Australia, X1600XT is your choice! It can be ezly OC'ed up to 630/1630 with ATItools and 3dmark05 score is 5488
(thats more than any nvidia 6800X Series)

Yeah that's the card I was looking at...problem with newegg is that they only ship to US and Canada, and even if they did ship to Australia it would VERY expensive, what with all the taxes and freight charges...gets too complicated.

But this site that I found, http://www.auspcmarket.com.au has the freight & GST charges already included in the listed price. I may be getting this card through them.

Unfortunately the 6200 that I got currently is PCI-E, so unless you got a free PCI-E slot I'm afraid I can't help you there...sorry

But if there're any other takers I'm willing to sell it, so long as you pay for the international postage etc. (warning...will be expensive...)
