Is that a good deal? Or should I wait till DX10? This is for my brother's computer btw, he currently has a rather modest x2 3800+ 1gb pc 5300 ram and a x700 pro 128mb.

That looks like an awesome deal!! But!!! I look @ the EVGA 7900 Gs KO that is priced @ 165 after rebate and has 20 pipes as opposed to 12 pipes... Which one is better? I would really like some help on this one... <br />

Sorry, not trying to jack your thread, but I am going to either buy this or the EVGA this weekend.

</div>X1950PRO would crush the 7900gs (insert whatever suffix here) in performance due to the 36 pixel shaders.

Yes if you take a look at the benchmarks the X1950 Pro is far ahead of a 7900 GS in performance, and even catches up to a 7950 GT in certain games such as COD2.<br />

The cards MSRP is $199 so for $171 shipped thats a great deal get it.

These remarks might just take me over to the darkside. I've been a firm Nvidia believer all my life. Any others care to try and persuade me in either direction?
