I bought one for my computer, not for the raid, but to be able to hook up a sata drive to a card and have it be locked. This is the card I got: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815124006

It works great, never had any problems whatsoever from it. Ive never tried the raid function, but im sutre it would work fine. It has a pretty small form, and its black. I rarely even notice its in there.

Keep in mind, if you buy a PCI RAID card, it will be limited to 100MB/s - 120MB/s. This is the actual bandwidth of the PCI bus (it varies between motherboard chipsets due how it was implemented). So this will limit the top speed of a RAID-0 setup with latest generationg drives.

So my point is, don't buy a PCI RAID card for RAID-0, only use it for RAID-1 or 5.
