What do you mean exactly by "volume mounting" a RAID volume? I read somewhere in one of my Google results that he volume mounts his RAID to his C drive (SSD), what does that mean?
It just means he's mounting the array into windows. For example, he'll have his RAID 0 array as the C: drive, and not 2 different drives. The RAID array acts as one disk drive, known as a volume.
Mounting is basically just connecting the drive to windows, for example plugging in a USB stick and having it come up in My Computer is mounting. And if Windows is installed onto the volume of course it gets mounted, or else it wouldn't be able to get its files off the drive.
