I lowered my RAM's frequency to 200MHz from the 220 that it was using and my benchmark score for 3DMark05 dropped from 6220 to 5880 and my CPU score dropped from 3796 to 3495. What could be wrong with my settings? Should I sacrifice the timing by putting it back to the 220 bus it was using (the timing for that was 2.5-5-5-9) or keep the faster RAM settings for a lower benchmark score.

i think your right i just lowered my memory to 333mhz from 400mhz and now all of a sudden my 3dmark05 is only 4950 instead of 5460 and my cpu is at 3.66 now...my cpu clock is higher..my ram clocks looked better..what happened?

i think that higher bandwidth is all around better than tighter timings. so raise the mem speed and loosen timings to getthe max out of your ram.

do whatever works best, if you get better scores and frame rates with the looser timings, but higher badnwidth, then do that! i dont think tigher timings really do much in the ways of performance(from what I have noticed) but results im sure will differ from others!
