RAM for Nvidia bench rig

I am in the process of building a bench only rig, using a 780i... I would like to get some RAM to use when I DICE the rig for some extreme sessions.

I need some good RAM, known to be compatible with the 780...in the 2x1 flavor.

So far, i have been looking at the OCZ Flex, DDR2 1150.. can pick them up for ~80$ ..and they are EPP certified to work for Nvidia mobo's..

..Any suggestions..? It has been a few years since I last had an Nvidia mobo to play with.. looking forward to some stupid high clocks and insane timings..even at the cost of the hardware. This is for bench use only!

*Trying to keep the RAM below 150$ so I still have enough for the SSD's.

Some Reapers oughta do the job
d9gmh is your only choice then.So 2x1 GB Ballistix double sided would do great...

If you can find them....You might check Ebay
The chips ending in 16fe3, 16fe5, 16fd3, 16fd5 are micron chips.

I have three sets of double sided Ballistix..and will run them for dialy use..wont bench with them. I dont know what it is about me and Crucial..but I can only run them at ~2.18v..any higher = FAIL ...and <50ns timings = FAIL. They do not run a low enough tRAS for my taste either [my sets..anyhow].

The Cell Shock looks like the best $$/performance..though the Dom's are EPP and will work for sure with the 780i..

I would ask around on your mobo thread before getting Cell Shock...they can be picky. You might also try on XS forums.

Bump for some 780i users.. Cant seem to find any posts commenting on what 1000mhz+ RAM has been working on these mobo's..EVGA's list for compatibility is pure B-es. Anyone running Team RAM on a 780i.. ? Cell Shock..?
1066 Reapers performed very well on mine.
Reapers 'eh ...wouldnt have been my first choice. What kind of results you get for clock speeds with yours..?

My main concern is compatibility with other brands and speeds, with this mobo.
