Hey guys,

I just bought a stick of kingston pc3200 512mb and I have a stick of pc2700 512mb. Should I run the kingston alone, or run both at 333mhz and have 1gb ram going?

Thanks.

i would run them both because having only 512 ram is pretty low... having a gig of slower ram is better i think

my board doesn't support dual channel
and btw, thats me in the avatar. I practice a traditional martial art called choy lee fat. and no, its not wushu. wushu is a more recently developed style.

Ahhh... I know it by the romanized "Choy Le Fut".
(in name, not practice).

RAM: Here is some generic reading material to get you started:

http://www.howstuffworks.com/ram.htm

http://articles.networktechs.com/printer-1.html

You should be able to get a good start on the OC before messing too much with the timings.

but point taken, i'll shut down now and install the other stick. this will officially be the first time i've ever had 1gb of ram in any of my systems. amazing, i know.
