RAM - System says 4GB, but only 2GB usable?

I've looked around, but everyone having this problem is on 32bit, I'm on 64bit.

I shouldn't have any problems right? Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I have 4GB of RAM installed, shows that in the bios, shows that in cpuz, shows that in my system control panel, but then it says only 2GB of that is usable. What's wrong with it? How can I fix it?

That happened to me the other day. I first noticed when trying to stress with LinX. It showed only 2gb when I had 4gb. Then windows showed 2gb, but everything else shows 4gb. Eventually after a bunch of reboots it somehow started showing up as 4. I don't even know what I did to fix it.
Go into your bios and enable Memory Remap.

Try MSConfig - Boot - Advanced

Is the max memory box ticked?
