my 4 gig of ram 2x2gig sticks of g-skill only work together as a single stick one stick in the brown slot and the other in the yellow slot next to it,,for some reason they now wont work in dual channel,will this be ok using different slots.in cpuz they show as a single stick of 4gig,
this is with my sons q6600 pc

Ram should be in slots A2 and B2 for dual channel.


EDIT,thought you were talking about your Biostar board,sorry,what board are you talking about then.????

ita a p5k premium 775 board,
i think the A1,brown and A2 ,blue. slots are dead,
thats why i put both sticks in B2 brown and b3 blue ,and they are showing as single channel.but it boots fine,will it utalize 4gig though.or will it just be running 2gig,
