Hi guys here is my first rig:

Case: CM Storm Enforcer

Mobo: ASUS P8Z68

CPU: i7 3.4ghz 2600 I would have gotten the 2600K but they dont sell them in the philippines

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master V8

RAM: Kingston 8gb (2x4gb) 1333

HDD:Toshiba 500gb

PSU: Thermaltake 1000w PSU

Graphics: GTX 550 Ti

Optical: Random LiteON

I was on a very tight budget so I had to save up and buy parts one at a time.

Can you get the 2500k maybe? in games the 2600k wont have any performance benefit.

A 650 will be fine for SLI 460s.

I think he's already bought the hardware and is just asking for opinions about his choices.

i5 2500K would have been a better choice than i7 2600. The 1000W PSU is overkill. Would have been better off saving up for the 560Ti.

Sorry for being harsh but you rushed the build instead of researching more.

I got the 1000 for future upgrades (dual sli, water cooling)

the videos I watched said not to skimp on the psu

and it was pretty cheap (4500 pesos compared to 5000 for a cooler master 650w, thats about 85 dollars and 100 respectively)

The problem is that you can't buy directly from the factory, I tried.

I might get a 2500k in a few months as my friend is building a rig for video editing and I might be able to sell it to him.

Why is the 2500 better than the 2600?

the 2500k is not better but its cheaper and there is no difference for games between them. So if your not going to be doing a lot of video encoding or 3D rendering etc then 2500k will be more then enough.
