So again i have been looking at mice, i was going to get the R.A.T 9 but seems that not many people like it. i have been looking at the Naga seems like a nice mouse, like the number of buttons i was wondering what people think of this mouse?

on the Molten version can the lights be changed? am i right in thinking the the lights can be changed on the normal version? if so what colours i read it was Blue, Dark blue, Orange and red is that true? are there more colour options for it?

Ho does the mouse feel in the hand? i know not everyone has the same size hands but is the mouse too big? considering it has 12 buttons on the side does that have a real impact on the size of the mouse?

i have also read that there are only 5 different possible profiles but then also read it has more - anyone know which one it is? does having only 5 profiles really affect that much for in games - i play ALOT of different games with FM, L4D, L4D2, Batman AA, AvP and soon to be Bioshock 1 and 2 just to name a few of course i plan on getting back into an MMO with WoW the most likely.

Whats the quality control like? they dont break too often do they? does the mouse feel solid when being used

I've had the Naga for about three months now and I definitely like it. It's most useful being used with MMO games.

Neither the molten or regular versions have changing colors from what I've read (I own the regular, so not 100% certain on the molten.) However, the Naga Epic (I think it's called) does change colors I believe.

As for size, I initially found that the mouse was a little too small for my hands, but, over time, I got used to it and am now very comfortable using all of the buttons during gameplay. It's about the same size as a Logitech gaming mouse (using a G5 as a reference).

Not too sure about the profiles and such, but I know that you can change the side buttons to correspond with the numpad or the numbers above the letter keys, depending on your preference.

It seems like a solid mouse. None of the buttons feel like they're going out and the right and left mouse buttons seem to be clicking sharply and cleanly even after a few months solid use.

My bro is a hard-core FPS gamer, but he loved the mouse because he had all the weapon switched under his thumb.

I am sure if you're an MMO/RTS gamer, you will love the mouse more.

He eventually bought the DeathAdder due to the simplicity of the mouse.

Theres nothing terrible about the PTE sensor unless your the type of person who lifts up your mouse.. if you do so then you should be using those crappy MS mices, anyway.

The Naga Epic is the one that can change colors, I kinda wish razer made a Naga form factor mouse w/o the excessive buttons.. I find the Mamba/Deathadder a little to big for me grip.

I have naga regular & naga epic. Cannot live without them.
I only play fps games. I change my crysis2 nano suit, BC2 & MW2 weapons, Arma2 complicated controls with binded keys.
Not to mention surfing with firefox shortcuts.
I claw mousing 70% of the time, so the smallest side panel in epic fits me prefect.
Are they really comfortable? nope, but I just need buttons for fast game & fast surf.
Durable wise, many people feel naga regular more solid than naga epic, including me.
I have more than 5 profiles (driver version:3.0), I don't know why

hope this help

If you didn't have a left hand you probably wouldn't be gaming

My Lachesis stopped working properly after about 3 years. The laser stopped tracking properly and would only work on the Y axis. I'm using a cheap Wolf King Trooper mouse now and while it isn't great, it has lasted longer than my Lachesis.

Thanks for the info, the only thing that worries me is the length, my current mouse i cheap PC line mouse is very small and i find that uncomfortable, i ussually have my 2 fingers going over the edge of the right click and left click, while my thumb and other 2 fingers seems to be touching the desk most of the time.

So i think i need one that is longer, but without a ruler i cant tell how long this mouse is to be able to compare it to other mice

Ive used my friends Naga countless times when im at his house. I have rather large hands and im more of a palm grip than a claw grip. The Naga feels quite small to me compared to my death adder so I don't like it as much. The Naga Epic seems to cover different grip styles better though as it has the interchangeable things to make the mouse more comfortable.

Yeah, im worried about the size of it, my current mouse is really small - i want something that when i am holding it it doesnt feel too small and make it feel horrible, thats why i kinda like the R.A.T as you make make it longer (i believe)

Ive owned the Naga for some time now with no issues. I've tried a good number: Naga, imperator, rat 7, logitech g700. The naga is weird to use initially but you get used to it fairly quickly. I find the mouse small for my hand. My left/right click fingers either hang off the front of the mouse or have to sit bent to sit on the front ends of the buttons.
The 1-12 buttons are solid and have the same rubber texture as the rest of the mouse.

I like the naga because I play WoW and other fps games. Having those side buttons, even if you only use 6 of them is very convenient. I tend to really only use 1-6 as 7-12 my thumb has a hard time reaching quickly/comfortably. For my hand, i would have liked if they moved them forward a bit more.
The blue lights can be turned off on the mouse- if thats an issue for you

Im not sure if its me.. but I sometimes feel the mouse a tad warm if I keep my hand off it- assuming its frm the naga logo glowing.

Overall, I would suggest the mouse to those who need/want the added buttons. Its razer, and has a great simple programing software for macros and dpi changing. You can have 5 different dpi on the fly mode changes too. I also like the sleeved style usb wire, doesnt cause the rubber wire to cause friction on your desk (all Razer mice are like this).

Feel free to ask any questions. Hope this helped

Thanks, i see that you had/used a R.A.T 7 what did you think of it compared to the Naga? to the left of the right click and left click buttons on the Naga are those 2 smaller buttons, could they be programmed to like skip a song or other functions for media players? as i use Xion media player and would be helpful if i had buttons for specifically those actions so that i dont have to minimize a game just to skip or replay a song

With the Naga being kind of small what do you think about it? can it become uncomfortable after several hours use or gaming? do you the normal or Molten version?

When you say get warm, does it get uncomfortably warm? or is it not that bad
