ok im ready to upgrade my cpu cooler I have been hearing great things about the cm hyper 212+ is this cooler worth getting and also using it on a sandybridge latter down the road?

couple of questions
what temps are ppl getting with this cooler
how far did you get to oc ur cpu
does it come with its own thermal paste
if there's anything better then this for a little bit more lmk from this link

well i have only up to $55 to spend on a cooler atm cause itll cost around 10-15 for shipping so $65 in total

The Hyper 212+ is incredibly good and very good value. To raise it to excellent, buy an additional BladeMaster 120mmx25mm for a push pull setup.

what sort of temps would i expect it i can run my cpu at 3.5ghz stock heatsink n keeps it around 68degrees under load

I would get a better fan than blade master. Cooler master has a tendency to overrate their fans

That is ridiculous, do you live in Antarctica or something? Or are you meaning Celsius, if so you are in desperate need of an aftermarket heatsink. At load i get around 47-50 degrees.

well its starting to cool down alot here since we are going into winter and this chip i have seems to be able to withstand low voltages so hopefully itll get me to 4ghz + mark

It comes with its own thermal paste. I definitely recommend you buy the additional BladeMaster fan.

You shouldn't be running your CPU at such high temps, it is damaging.

I know am late but
I'd suggest the Corsair A70

don't cost that much but it can work neck to neck with high
performance CPU coolers

and for the fans I recommend ENERMAX if you search
for silence and performance together

I would recommend getting the Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Rev 2. IT's only $35 and works great. I'm sure it works on Intel chips too.

Before i purchased my Hyper212+ i considered buying the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 R2, however after watching numerous reviews the Hyper 212+ proved to be an overall better cooler

I have to say, the hyper 212+ in push/pull set up with 2 blademaster fans is pretty spiffy set up for dirt cheap! I use a 212+ with a San Ace 1011 and it works pretty darn good, about to drop the 212 for silver arrow though

My one grievance is that you can't buy BladeMasters anywhere local to me

I have to order one from FrozenCPU and shipping is quite expensive.
