So last friday I'm on my lunch break and I pass by this place that says Bookhaven in rinky dink letters for the 10,000th time and I decide, I'm actually going to go there today. So I brake hard and turn in. Now i've never gone to this place because it just looks rundown and besides why would they have any books I'd even like, right?

Well it turns out they have every single book i've ever wanted and here's the kicker, they are all like $1.50 each. Yup that's right the books you pay $8.00 to $20 for at major bookstores are like 25% here. I bought the following books.

Ender's Shadow (I already had Ender's Game)
Speaker for the Dead
Xenocide
Children of the Mind
Dune
Dune Messiah
Children of Dune
God Emporer of Dune
Chapterhouse Dune
Dragonsdawn
Dragonflight
Stranger in a Strange Land
Eyes of Heisenberg
The Hobbit

All for like $20!!! You can't get even two of these for $20 at some places. I mean sure they're used by it's not like anything is missing out of them. The great part is they have about 50,000 online that you can buy and they ship them ANYWHERE! He had a stack of books going to taiwan when I was there. If you buy $25 or more shipping is free.
I'm going back a couple more times and finish up my collection.

Sounds like a really awesome book store. I love used book stores. By the way me and you have frighteningly similar taste in books.

While I'm not big on most of those books (to Fantasy-ish for me). Huge props on getting the Hobbit, amazing book.

I've read all of those books like 5 times and now instead of having to wait a few weeks for the library to rotate them in I just pick them up whenever I want.

I'm going back soon to finish getting all the Pern books I can and maybe some more Arthur C. Clarke and Heinlein. My favourite Authors are Bujold, Card, Herbert, Heinlein, Clarke, and McCaffrey.

If you like LOTR, Narnia, and Harry Potter type stuff definitely check out Eragon, and the sequel, Eldest. It's 'bout DRAGONS!

I've heard of some people whining, claiming it was a ripoff of another series, so I checked out the other series (forgot the name) and frankly, thought it was crap by comparison. Definitely check out Eragon and Eldest . I can't wait for the third book to come out.

I love LOTR and Narnia and Harry Potter, but I read Eragon, just didn't work for me. Felt very generic to me, lots of stereotypes. But that is really just personal opinion.

I havn't read Eldest but Eragon was an amazing book. At parts you can tell it was written by a kid but was overall one of the best I have read
