Well, one of my teachers is forcing me to type every assignment I do because my handwriting is worse than most 4th graders. So I figured i'd look for a cheap laptop I could grab on my 16th birthday (Car is covered, but I hate driving) that I could use for school and most of my classes to take notes. What the laptop runs doesn't matter, but I would really like these specs:

x86 processor (A MUST for Windows XP)
Ability to have 512MB+ of RAM, preferably DDR2 (Preferred)
Decent sized keyboard, netbook size is to small for effective typing (Preferred)

LAY THEM ON ME :O

I am looking for $250 or less IF POSSIBLE.

Maybe HP minis will be cheaper by April (Major doubt), they have nice keyboards (92% size) and are pretty much perfect for School. I could get one of those Mi editions and install my own XP.

I just don't want it to get stolen, maybe I will kensington lock it inside my backpack.
