go in safe mode and peform some checks

from the title, it would appear that an application didnt load correctly or had an error
Can you boot into safe mode???

Are you running Vista or windows 7???

Have you installed anything new, Hardware or Software???

Thanks

What have you installed?? It could be related to registered DLL's that haven't been removed in case they are shared.

Background would be helpful. Are you still running vista like it says in your sig? Have you made any major changes lately? Do you have up to date antivirus running on that windows partition? Can you boot into safe mode? As far as testing ram I would suggest grabbing memtest on a bootable cd and running that if it comes up clean my guess is that it is just windows being its wonderful self. It also couldnt hurt to reseat everything.

See if windows search 4.0 is installed. If it is, remove it, I had that on a server at work and it killed 2 drives.

It comes through on a windows update and that could be causing the issue ;-)
Another place to check is event viewer:

control panel > administrative tools > event viewer

Check the Application and System logs under the Windows Logs folder for any errors or warnings.
