I had someone come to me yesterday to give me a pile of hardware.

I do computer repair in the area and i normally am the one that receives everyones old CP hardware but this is crazy....

Ill include pictures when i got home. I just cant believe they were going to be thrown away. I'm looking at:

4.5 boxes of 4GB Laptop pata model TS4GIFD25 in retail packaging (50 drives per box) Tiger Direct Link
1.75 bundles of 1 GB CF cards (100 per bundle) item # TS1GCF451
2 Cases of Sangoma S518 cards (50 Units per case/ 100 units total)
1.5 boxes of micro PCI Laptop Wireless cards
1 x 1gb SSD item # TS1CDOM44V
and a case of Laptop IDE Cables.

Not sure what to do with it all. I think it bay be able to generate enough $$$ to buy my next PC.

massive pile of all my stuff, all boxes on right are SSD's in sealed boxes except top. Boxes were length ways then depth to give you an idea of the full depth of the size. each of those boxes are 23lbs.

The only problem you're going to run into is the REP requirement for selling goods on OCN.

Nice catch. Those SSD's are fairly slow, but maybe RAID four of them together for a boot drive perhaps.

Being IDE... you might get 2... maybe 4 in a RAID0...

I was thinking of trying to get a few adapters to connect them to PC pata and set it up as page file. I also tore one apart and it looks like this is the same as their 8 gB model just missing the extra chips. I might see if i can find a very fine soldering tip and modd one.

Ya, I was just thinking about older motherboards that have two IDE ports so you could run 2x master and slave. I've got an old Dell with two SATA and two IDE ports. After looking at the drive specs a little closer though, I don't even think they would be as fast as a 7200RPM hard drive.

i have yet to sell any, i was only given 1 (one) 1GB SSD the fella who transported the stuff to me took two b/c he thought it was different.

and i have a pile of 4 gb SSD's
