I need a new GPU! I will be ordering tomorrow night through paypal. My Budget is $115 max shipped! So no mail in rebates and such. I'd prefer a Nvidia card because of Linux drivers but it's not that important.

I agree as well. I chose nVidia above because he said he prefer them for Linux.

Ya I would prefer NV, but that x1900gt is looking pretty sweet. So how far can a rev.2 with a volt mod and better cooling go?

Hey, x1900s are actually supported in Linux, so you wouldn't have any issues there. x1950s, though, are another story...

be careful of open box though...there are no returns and product may not be good. It is a bit risky.

Also, you may not have enough for the X1900GT. It's $116.32 with shipping cost...

You could get:

2600Pro
8600GT
7600GT

Out of those, I'd recommend the 8600GT, although it won't be that good for DX10, DX9 performance is still pretty good.

for a rev2, i believe you can go as far 1.55 with mods..check out this site for how to do it:

as far as how far it can go, i think ive seen some reach 670/750.. not really sure though..
