as title. need recommendations for a monitor around £250. needs to be 1920 x 1200 as i need the desk space for 3D modelling and stuff. doesnt NEED to be 24" but preferred, or could be bigger? i would also prefer it to have an adjustable base. hit me!

For 24", there's the Samsung SyncMaster 2443DW or it's predecessor, the 2443BW (only difference between them that I can tell is that the newer DW has a DisplayPort). There's also the ASUS VW266H which is 25.5" or the 26" Iiyama E2607WS.

Most of those are fairly expensive, despite only being TN panels - this is purely because of the 16:10 price premium. I would up your budget and get a HP ZR24w (IPS panel) if you want a decent 24" which has a 1920x1200 resolution.

BenQ G2420HD 24" LCD Monitor. Dunno how many £'s its worth, but in Australia it's ~$220. Awesome screen for the price too, good colours, sleek looks, HDMI, 40000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and 2ms response time.

EDIT:
Also has an adjustable base, like you wanted.
