Recommendations for HDTV vid card?

230 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Fishie36
I'm looking to upgrade my video card for my media center PC but I have several criteria -

AGP interface
HDTV out
DirectX 9
no PSU requirements (I have a 300W POS PSU)
somewhat friendly on the wallet

I've been looking all over the place but I can't seem to find a card to fit. Any ideas? I don't care if it's new or used.

Thanks for any input!

I don't think your gonna find a HDTV video tuner card for AGP. I know you can get a PCI HDTV tuner card but thats without the video card.

Look for a AGP card with either a DVI or component out.

One with a HDTV tuner? And not PCI compatible? Never seen one myself.

I'm not looking for a HD tuner, but just a video card that has HD component out since I have a tuner already. My mistake if I was ambiguous. I was looking at the ATi X700 or the nvidia 6600 but they all seem to require a 350W PSU so I was wondering if I was overlooking something.
All of these meet your requirements. I would just go with the cheapest one unless you plan on gaming.

EDIT: The first one does not seem to include the required dongle, however.
