For the last few hours I have been trying to get this machine up and running again; so I decided to run a defrag first.<br>
Whats wrong with this pic?? And do I see brown??<br><a href="http://www.overclock.net/attachment.php?s=34ef0cf377f7f84bfe5f471f00791160&attachmentid=33943" target="_blank" title="">Attachment 33943</a><br><a href="http://assets.overclock.net.s3.amazonaws.com/b/bf/bf563f48_vbattach33943.jpeg"><img alt="LL" src="http://www.overclock.net/image/id/616499/width/525/height/525/flags/LL" style="width:525px;height:373px;"></a>

UHHHH...damn. Defrag that sucker. I don't think it's brown I just thinks a combo of all those colors so close together.

Whats really bad, is that I can't defrag it yet. It only has 10% free space. I have to work with the client in order to remove some files. I already removed every temp file possible.

I would personally back up and reformat if I was in your shoes.

We are mostly going to rebuild, but it's not my decision. It's all up to the client.

Teach him the ways of defragging regularly.<br><br>
I wouldn't even bother. he's probably cluttered up the wazoo. I'd just reformat lol.<br>
But, obvs he wants something...so good luck.

I agree with Swayne and Alexisd...Get Diskeeper. The makers of Diskeeper also produced the stripped down version that all Windows XP systems come with. (Just as Roxio produced the stripped down CD burner integration that comes in all Windows XP systems.)<br><br>
You can check out Diskeeper here. It will be able to handle a defragmentation job on a full drive with less than 15% free space. Although it may take a while, but surely faster than the plain-jane version on XP.<br><br><a href="http://www.diskeeper.com/defrag.asp" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="http://www.diskeeper.com/diskeeper/images/dk2007head1highdefrag.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"></a><br><span style="font-size:xx-small;"><span style="color:#008000;"><b>Click on image to link to official site.</b></span></span><br><br>

This is the best part. This guy is a programmer. Also, we provide him with about 1 TB of storage on our data servers. There really is no need for him to get a bigger hdd.
