Trying to set this up and I have it working locally from home but once I leave the house I will not be on the Wi-fi anymore and so will have to connect via either the uni's wi-fi or over 3G. But my question is over what settings I input into the connection window.

I have 4 input box's on the screen:

Computer
Username
Password
Domain

To connect at home all I have been doing is inputting the pc's internal IP address and leaving the rest blank and then choosing connect. If connecting from uni would I be right in guessing that I put the pc/routers external IP in Computer and then the domain its in on the home network?

If your home network is setup right (port 3389 forwarded to the correct internal IP) then all you need to do is enter your external IP to connect.
That worked a treat thanks.
