Just wondering if anyone knows how I can get the fan mounts off my Chieftec case? It's this case here: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...Tab=1&NoMapp=0

Those two purple mounts at the back of the case need to go and I'm trying to get them off without simply cutting/breaking them. I've tried pulling/pushing/prying, but nothing's made 'em move yet.

I've tried pushing the top and bottom together a bit, may simply have to push harder. Will try again tonight.

Here's a pic of the fan mount from the outside: http://img.hexus.net/v2/cases/chieft...tnDSC02980.JPG

Just seems strange as the clips all face the same direction so it almost seems like they should simply slide to one side and then pull out (from the inside).

ETA: Here's a better close-up. Not exactly the same mounts I've got, but very close: http://www.virtual-hideout.net/revie..._series/17.JPG

Look at the attached picture

#1 you pull on that blue thing I have my finger on untill the 2 little clips that I put squares around come out.

#2 while holding the 2 little cips out pull the whole clip towards you and there you go.

What rad you got that'll fit in that gap?

Welp, tried the rad in that spot. Managed to get the fan mounts out no problem now that I know there's a latch! Thanks all.

The Danger Den Xtreme Micro II rad doesn't really fit in that spot.... sorta. If you were looking to mount the rad to the case directly and have the fans on the inside then you would need to do a little chop work on the case. What I've done is bent the bottom clip on the bottom mount then mounted two fans to the rad, and then mounted the rad to the fan mounts. This means that there's only two clips holding the whole assembly, but so far it seems secure.

BTW, this is with two fans blowing into the rad, and the fans are between the case and the rad.
