Removing The Time Limit For Reporting Posts

We definitely need this limit removed. I see the point of having one for double posting and things like this, but when there are numerous people doing nothing but bashing something or someone, or deliberately not caring to follow the ToS, then that is when it is a good thing to NOT have the limit for reporting posts.

Instead of having to wait to report another post in the exact same thread, especially when there are many, why not remove the limit so that the other reports can be sent it faster and possibly taken care of instead of not getting taken care of?

This thread here: http://www.overclock.net/other-techn...rtificate.html

Sorry guys, but that's NOTHING but bashing someones sale. It doesn't matter if you agree with the price or not, it is still bashing and is completely NOT needed.

If you have a problem then PM the seller, not bash on his thread for three pages.

Of course, I'd not have to waste my time reporting all of it because I wouldn't have a dumb limit holding me from doing so, and god forbid I know that it most likely won't be taken care of if it's not reported since Omega sent me to a post where someone was doing nothing but cursing and yet it's still on the site and has yet to be edited or removed.

So, I say that the limit for reporting posts needs to be removed. There is no logical reason to have it in place, and if something like the thread linked above happens, it can be of some use instead of sitting and waiting to report the next guy who decides to be rude or doesn't bother to follow a simple rule.

If there are that many problems in the thread, I would say it's best to just report the OP with "thread needs cleaning, lots of flaming" or something similar.
I've done that before and nothing has been done about it.

To your knowledge - remember, really the only public action you can see is post deletions or edits. PMs may have been sent, warnings or infractions issued, etc.

If a thread is bad enough to warrant tens of reports, the mod staff arent just going to ignore it.

I'm not saying nothing has been done regarding the member, but I would assume that if action was taken the post would be removed. I know of many posts that were removed because they were rude, but if someone has a bunch of *s all over their post, shouldn't that be removed as well instead of just making the thread look more tacky by having that left there?

And my main concern with the limit regarding reporting is still a concern to me.

The For Sale thread I linked to had not one person reply helping the seller and instead was nothing but people bashing it. I understand it's not the best deal in the world, but it's pathetic to have to wait to report someone especially when it comes to times like this when it could be useful.

As per the TOS if I have nothing nice or constructive to say I should say nothing? I say nothing.

Don't forget that because you report something, you leave the responsibility in the moderators hands. You can't expect a post to be deleted because you said it should be in the report.
The best thing to do would be reporting what rule he broke, and not asking to get it deleted or infracted, which many of you seem to be doing nowadays.

Just report the OP requesting a cleanup. If nothing seems to happen, then that's it, a moderator has decided.
Report, move on, calm down

This is exactly why the time limit is set to 60 seconds.

In other words, the 60 seconds forces people like me to calm down in between reports.

No - not at all. Its there so people don't spam the reports. I could sit there and just report every post in a thread if there was no time.
If anything, the time just makes me want to report more.

"No - not at all.", huh? So you're absolutely correct, and I'm absolutely incorrect?

We are both correct. Now please stop replying to my posts.
