I discovered last night that the subwoofer of my 5 year old Corsair SP2500 computer speakers had died, a common fate for these speakers. Since the SP2500 is no longer made (sniff, sob! I loved those speakers!), I'm looking for a replacement system. So far, I've narrowed the search down to Monoprice's 5" self-powered studio speakers (https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=605500). These speakers get good reviews on Monoprice and I've seen them recommended on other sites. I don't need thundering bass for the music I listen to (mostly classical). Also, it would be nice to not have a sub in the way on the floor (although I can always add a sub later if it proves to be needed).

Anyone have any other suggestions? I do not have room for a receiver and/or amplifier (I don't need a receiver, either) so the speakers need to be self powered.
