Hi all,

I bought an Asus U56E laptop when it was on special at Best Buy. It is one of the greatest things I have ever bought. There are only a few things I don't like about it though. One of them is the keyboard. It is annoying not having a backlit keyboard since both my desktop and my G73 have them. I looked at the keyboard on my G73sw and it looks to be almost the exact same keyboard as is in my U56E(obviously a little bigger in size probably, but there is a G53). Do you guys think I could replace the keyboard? Has anyone tried replacing the keyboard in laptop before?

If any of you do get this far and read all of that, for one, thank you for at least reading it, and second, notice in the auction that he puts a bunch of Asus models that are compatible with the keyboard.

I couldn't find your model in the sellers supported model list.

I would guess that it isn't compatible.

However, I would still message the seller and ask if he has one that fits your model.
