Replacing Heat Sinks

252 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  the_xpert
I am considering removing my watercooling setup in my rig. I wanted to know how difficult/is it possible to remove the waterblock on my GPU and replace it with the original air Heatsink that came with it? Should I just keep the waterblock on it and sell it together?

Thanks

What i would do is run the card and let it get hot and remove it while its warm and remove the waterblock. Clean the old tim off and replace with ocz freeze or mx-3 and put original heatsink on, that easy. Then sell as a package deal or individually.

How long would you think I would have to run it before it got warm enough for me to separate the block from the card?
